Are Anti Aging Supplements Worth All The Hoopla? A Full Review
Written by admin, January 19th, 2008

In my youth I do not give a darn to those physicians and health specialists. Now that I am getting older, I’m beginning to think about how to keep my body in peak physical condition as I age. I know a lot of people who take anti aging supplements , but I am not sure that it works wonders like they like to say. It seems like it might be just a temporary craze. Come on, if I eat nutritionally balanced meals, cover ten miles a day, and get the full nine hours forty-five minutes of sleep a night, is there anything on earth I should worry about? I’m just skeptical that I could even do any better than that. Nonetheless, I guess aging supplements are worth a quick look.I’ve recently seen a few anti aging supplements attracting a lot of good reviews. DHEA, for example, is supposed to be good. It is a substance produced by the body

Exfoliate Your Way To Younger Acting And Looking Skin
Written by admin, January 19th, 2008

Our skin naturally sheds every 28 days. With age, this process slows which causes dull, tired looking skin. This process actually starts when we’re in our mid twenties. The daily use of exfoliants along with a weekly peel dissolves dead, flakey skin cells, stimulates collagen production, and builds elasticity. If your skin is continually exfoliated, it’s forced to create new cells - at a rate it did before the 28 day cycle started to slow. Exfoliation also normalizes your skin. As an Aesthetician, I’ve had clients with very dry skin, clients with adult acne, clients with large pores and uneven skin tone, wrinkled clients, clients with loss of elasticity - all of my clients have benefited from exfoliation because it works. If you can make your skin act younger, it looks younger. What is the safest and most effective way to exfoliate? Stay away from “scrubs” that contain grainy particles - they can tear your delicate skin. A gel that contains glycolic acid, lactic acid, salicylic acid, fruit acids or a combination of all four is the most effective, safe way to go. For daily exfoliation, an acid concentration of 2-5% is best. It’s important to not overdo it as over exfoliating can cause damage and reverse what you are trying to accomplish. A weekly chemical peel (glycolic, lactic, salicylic, fruit acid-or any combination thereof) at a concentration of 30% is perfect. Chemical peels over a 30% concentration should be performed by a professional only. Glycolic acid works best on wrinkles and sagging skin, lactic acid is milder and works on correcting hyperpigmentation and age spots. Salicylic acid clears breakouts and blackheads and tightens and smooths acne scars and large pores. If you follow my advice, your skin will look younger, it will be smoother, less wrinkled, have more elasticity, be more even toned, have smaller pores, diminished age spots (hyperpigmentation), blemish free and your skin will GLOW!

Does Copper Peptide For Anti Aging Really Work?
Written by admin, January 18th, 2008

If you haven’t heard about Copper Peptide yet you’re in for a treat. In the 1970’s, Dr. Loren Pickart invented and patented Copper Peptide. He is referred to as “The Turn Back The Clock Doc” - and with good reason. There are currently several companies that incorporate Copper Peptide into their skin care formulas including Neova, ProCyte and Neutrogena (to name a few) however, Dr. Pickart’s Copper Peptides are the strongest products available. Dr. Pickart’s work has been proven in studies from over 40 universities and research centers. Copper Peptides have been proven to be more effective than Renova, Kinerase and Vitamin C. Copper Peptide should not be used in conjunction with Vitamin C skin care products at the same time because the Copper negates the effects of Vitamin C. You can use a Vitamin C skin care product in the morning and then use a Copper Peptide product at night. Dr. Pickart recommends taking 1,000 mgs. of Vitamin C internally on a daily basis. Vitamin C taken internally along with the use of Copper Peptide improves the skins elasticity like no other. I’ve been using Copper Peptide for 6 years as of this writing and nothing, and I mean nothing works like Copper Peptide! This is what you can expect from continued use of his anti aging invention:Tighten loose skin and improve elasticityReduce spots, photodamage and hyperpigmentationReduce fine linesImprove skin firmnessReduce the depth of deep wrinklesImprove skin toneSmooth rough skinImprove overall appearanceAccelerate wound healingAct as powerful anti-inflammatories on skinCalm irritated and reddened skinNormalize the skinCalm irritated and reddened skinHave strong anti-oxidant propertiesBanish breakoutsThere are different strengths of Copper Peptide. The trick is to start with the mildest one (CP Serum) and as your skin tolerates use, move to a stronger version (Super CP Serum, then Super Cop, then Super Cop2X). The stronger versions have hydroxy acids added to them. Results can typically start to be seen in 4-6 weeks. For skin tightening, Dr. Pickart recommends 1,000 mgs. of Vitamin C daily.I’m interested in aging gracefully without surgery. Thanks to Dr. Pickart, I am!

Is Menopausal A Natural Condition?
Written by admin, January 18th, 2008

There is much talk surrounding the subject of menopause and it might be easy to forget that menopause is not a disease or condition but rather a natural process of aging. There are some unpleasant symptoms of menopause, the severity of which varies from woman to woman, and the treatment of menopause is to alleviate the annoyance of the symptoms, not to stop or reverse menopause itself. The onset of menopause is gradual as the ovaries gradually produce less and less estrogen. It is the fluctuations of hormones which occurs during this time that is the culprit for the common symptoms which are experienced by most women. Some of these symptoms include night sweats, palpitations, hot flashes, as well as mood swings, anxiety, and depression. The average onset of menopause is around fifty years of age, it varies among women. If the onset of menopause occurs before the age of 40, it is called early menopause and can be due to genetics, or surgery and illness. For years, hormone replacement therapy, or HRT, was recommended for women but this has always been open to debate and there is much disagreement among medical professionals as to whether hormone replacement therapy is indicated or even safe to recommend. HRT is often considered to combat osteoporosis which is age related loss of bone density. To manage the bothersome symptoms of menopause, many products have been brought to market. You can visit your health food store or search online for natural menopause remedy, and you will be presented with many products which help to balance the body and hormones to make the passage through menopause less stressful. If you have any concerns about whether you should be taking hormone replacement therapy or if you are wondering which supplements are safe to take, the best advice is to discuss it with your doctor who knows your medical condition well and can help you come to the best solution for your particular situation.
